It was a great day at the zoo! We all met up at this GREAT café called El Galeón. I’ve already been there 3 times. They have the best empanadas roquefort…and just best empanadas in general! We ate medialunas y café con leche for breakfast, then walked 2 blocks down to the zoo. The zoo is so close to my apartment, it’s crazy! (close as in, if the tiger escapes, I’ll be the first to die)
After the zoo, we came home, napped, and then ordered in chinese food! They spell chow mein here like chau main and they call tofu queso de soja. Hahah. When they got to our apartment, Tania had to run downstairs to retrieve it from the delivery guy. Sarah and I were waiting upstairs (we’re on the 3rd floor), and all of a sudden, Tania comes barricading back into our apartment saying “I need change! I need change!” and then sprints out again. THEN, 2 minutes later we hear her running up the stairs and she runs back in again shouting “Gahh it was 160 not 116! I need change! I need change!” By this point, I’m like rolling on the ground laughing, so by the time she finally pays the guy and we get the food, she’s super flustered and I couldn’t even eat because I had a hard time breathing. But the chinese food, like EVERY OTHER FOOD HERE, was bombbbb. and hit the spot.
Moral of the story = eat lots while you’re in Argentina. and don’t laugh, cuz it distracts from the eating.
